Ghajini ban lifted: Christmas release confirmed

Here is some good news: The Madras High Court lifted its ban on Aamir Khan and Asin starrer Ghajini. Now, the film will release internationally on December 25th as planned earlier. It looks like the plaintiff, Mr. Chandrasekaran (producer of Tamil version), the respondents of the lawsuit and the Ghajini think-tank reached an agreement. So, Ghajini is releasing all over the world on Christmas day without any hiccups. All the trouble started when Mr. Chandrasekaran, producer of the Tamil Ghajini leveled up charges of copyright infringement on A.R. Murugadoss, Ad Labs, Geetha Arts Division of Allu Entertainment (the director and producers of Hindi Ghajini). He stated that since he had sold only the rights for Telugu remake, satellite broadcast, dubbing, and exhibition and distribution in Chennai city, the film cannot be remade in any other language. He appealed to Madras High Court, which then issued an injunction against the international and national release of the film on 23rd December. So, finally fans can breathe easy and look forward to witnessing one of the finest Indian films – Ghajini!
