Ramesh Babu's debut directorial venture Char Sou Bees, a bilingual starring comedian-turned-serious actor Kalabhavan Mani in the lead, will start its shoot at Kambam and Theni on January 14, 2009. Popular TV presenter Govindan Kutty turns script writer through this film produced by Vinod Nair under the banner of Cinema Paradiso. To be released simultaneously in Tamil and Malayalam, the movie tells the story of three robbers studying in a college. The Tamil version has been titled Naayittu Irupathu. Navya Nair and Dhanya are the heroines. The movie will feature Arun, Rahul Menon and script writer Govindan Kutty as the three robbers. Also in the cast are Jagathy Sreekumar, K.P.A.C. Lalitha, Machan Varghese, Cochin Haneefa and Bindu Panikkar. Another highlight of the film is that Jassie Gift sets music to lyrics penned by script writer-director Ranji Panikkar. Chaar Sou Bees is planned as a Vishu release. Kalabhavan Mani is currently busy shooting with character actor-turned-director Saleem Bawa's Gunda at Kochi. Gunda is the third venture by Saleem Bawa, who earlier directed Rapid Action Force and Mohitam, both average earners. Kalabhavan Mani's latest release is Suresh Gopi's Bullet, a crime thriller directed by Nizzar. In this film, he portrays the role of Circle Inspector Wahid Abdul Rahman Haji who investigates the disappearance of Yamunaprasad, a popular music director and judge of a reality show.
